Vt. man accused of Enfield theft
ENFIELD — Police have arrested a Vermont man for stealing catalytic converters from a salvage yard.
Daniel P. Degasta, 34, of Norwich, Vt., was arrested after a patrol officer observed suspicious activity at Chase's Salvage Yard and called for assistance, according to a press release. Degasta is charged with theft by unauthorized taking and criminal trespass.
Police said Degasta is also a suspect in other thefts. He was released on bail.
State police assisted with a police dog.
