MANCHESTER — Josh Terry's sacrifice fly to left field plated the championship-winning run with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning, giving St. Thomas a 4-3 win over Lebanon and the NHIAA Division II baseball championship.

Saints catcher Arran Maran, who reached on an error, scored his team's fourth unearned run on the fly ball.

The lead changed four times in the fourth championship game played at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium Saturday as each team capitalized when opportunity surfaced, save the eighth inning. Lebanon couldn't score after loading the bases with one out. St. Thomas stranded runners at second and third with one out.

The Saints manufactured an early lead. Andy Johnson hit a swinging-bunt single and advanced to second on an error. He swiped third and trotted home on Chris White's single in the bottom of the second.

A Saints' error helped Lebanon manufacture a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth. Colin MacNamee's one-out single to left plated Cody Pelletier from second and Justin Judd raced home on an overthrow.

Three Lebanon errors assisted a St. Thomas comeback in the fifth. Jon Nartiff walked, reached third on an error and interference call and scored on a fielding error. Another error and walk loaded the bases. Arran Maran struck a two-out RBI single to center where Judd threw a 200-foot strike home to secure the third out.

The Saints newly reclaimed lead evaporated in Lebanon's next at bat when Cooper Hardy, the Raiders' leading hitter, lined a RBI double down the right field line tying the score.
