Sean Ochinko's sacrifice fly in the 13th inning plated pinch-runner Justin Jackson as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats won their first series in a month with a 4-3 Eastern League decision over Bowie at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie, Md., Sunday.

It marks only the sixth time this season the Fisher Cats (24-43) have won at least two straight games and the first time since May 16-17 they have won a series. New Hampshire took two of three from the Rock Cats in New Britain last month.

In the 13th inning, Gabe Jacobo singled to left with one out and Jackson entered the game as a pinch-runner. Jackson advanced to second on a single by John Tolisano and, with Ochinko at bat, both runners executed a double steal to move into scoring position.

Ochinko delivered his sacrifice fly off losing pitcher Pedro Viola (0-2), scoring Jackson from third base.

In the home 13th, the Baysox loaded the bases with one out against Evan Englebrook, the sixth New Hampshire pitcher in the game. On a grounder by Bowie's Antoan Richardson to shortstop, New Hampshire's Ryan Goins charged, fielded the ball cleanly and threw home to get the force out to preserve the lead. Englebrook got Josh Barfield, son of former major leaguer Jesse Barfield, on a groundout to third to end the game.

Bowie led 2-0 in the first inning against New Hampshire starter Deck McGuire, who allowed three earned runs and eight hits in five innings. He walked three and fanned no one.

Jonathan Schoop reached McGuire for a two-run homer in the first inning, his third round-tripper of the season.

New Hampshire got one back in the third inning when Brad McElroy singled with two outs against Bowie starter Bobby Bundy. McElroy advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Goins.

Bowie went ahead, 3-1, in the fourth inning when Allan de San Miguel doubled home Buck Britton (single).

The Fisher Cats pecked away, getting a run in the fifth inning. Tolisano walked, went to second on a single by Ochinko, advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by McElroy and scored on a grounder to short by Goins.

New Hampshire tied the game in the ninth inning off reliever Greg Burke. Mark Sobolewski scored from third when Ochinko grounded out to third baseman Zelous Wheeler with the bases loaded.

Burke was charged with a blown save and Matt Daly (1-4) gained the mound win for New Hampshire. Daly pitched 2-1/3-innings, allowing no runs and two hits.

New Hampshire, 9-24 at home, returns to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium to open a seven-game homestand on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. The second-place Reading Phillies are in town through Thursday before Harrisburg begins a four-game series from Friday to next Monday, June 25.
