LEBANON — A 33-year-old Carroll man wanted by police in the Upper Valley in connection with burglaries was arrested Thursday.

Kevin Balch, a suspect in “numerous burglaries,” according to police, in Lebanon and surrounding towns, was taken into custody in Littleton.

Meanwhile, a female companion described as Balch’s accomplice, Brandi Brown, 33, of Claremont, turned herself in Thursday at the Lebanon Police Department. She was arrested on charges of burglary and endangering the welfare of a child. She was released on $2,500 personal recognizance, and scheduled for an Aug. 13 hearing in Lebanon District Court, according to a Lebanon police news release issued Thursday afternoon.

No bail was set for Balch Thursday, and he was not scheduled for a court appearance.

Lebanon police Wednesday obtained a warrant for Balch’s arrest in connection with a June 20 burglary at an Eagle Ridge home in that city. Later that day, they secured a second warrant on him in connection with an Eastman Hill burglary.

Balch was also on parole at the time, and was being sought by New Hampshire Probation and Parole Department investigators, who also had a warrant for his arrest.

Lebanon Police Chief Jim Alexander said his officers have been working with police departments in Claremont and Thetford, Vt., on the burglaries, and said they recovered items stolen in last week’s Lebanon burglary at a Claremont location.

Lebanon police said their attempts to serve warrants on Balch had failed as of Wednesday. They could not locate him, they said, but believed he may have headed for the North Country, just where he was apprehended Thursday.
