Berlin man killed in Vermont hit-and-run crash

JOHNSON, Vt. — A New Hampshire man died in a two-vehicle accident on a Vermont highway, while the driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene.

Ronald Turgeon, 56, of Berlin, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Route 15 in Johnson when it collided with a car at 1:40 p.m. Saturday. Police say Turgeon was taken to Copley Hospital in Morrisville, Vt., where he was pronounced dead from injuries caused by blunt force trauma.

Witnesses told members of the Lamoille County Sheriff's Department that the driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash, a green Subaru Legacy, drove away from the scene.

The accident is under investigation.
