MERRIMACK - An elderly man who was missing from his home Monday morning was located around 2 p.m.

Police issued a missing person alert using Nixle around 1:15 p.m., asking the public for help in locating Arthur Scarborough, 82. He was found safely about an hour later, according to police.

Scarborough had wandered away from his home at 15 Lantern Lane around 10 a.m. on Monday. Police believed Scarborough, who is suffering from the early stages of dementia, was possibly operating a white 1998 Plymouth Voyager van with the license plate #VFP-62.
