Ex-fire chief pleads guilty to sexual assault
LANCASTER - Former Lincoln Fire Chief Nathan Haynes pleaded guilty in Coos Superior Court on Monday, to charges he sexually assaulted a mentally disabled woman in Dummer last summer. Haynes, 66, of Main Street, Lincoln, offered no excuses for his behavior as he answered standard questioning from Judge Peter Bornstein before being sentenced on the five charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault he faced as a result of a negotiated plea agreement.
