Gilford to consider new fire truck

GILFORD — A Belknap County Superior Court judge has ruled in favor of a town request to hold a special town meeting to ask residents to fund a replacement fire truck for 25-year-old Engine 4, which has been taken off the road for safety reasons, town officials said.

Selectmen will hold a public meeting tonight at 7 on the matter. Selectmen had said they hoped for a town vote in September.

Also on the agenda for the selectmen tonight is an application to renew the live entertainment License for Kelsey’s at the Grant, which has featured exotic dancers. In October, five employees of the club and three others were arrested for drug trafficking.
