New Hampshire’s two members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Frank Guinta and Charlie Bass, voted on Wednesday to repeal Obamacare. It was not the first time they had done so. The people of New Hampshire should hope that it is not the last.

The House has taken more than 30 votes to repeal the President’s unpopular health insurance law — the one that includes an individual coverage mandate that the President campaigned against and does not lower health care costs, which he said would be his focus regarding health care. Democrats whine that it was merely a symbolic vote, as no repeal bill can pass the Senate. Well whose fault is that?

The people of Massachusetts elected Scott Brown to be the 41st vote against Obamacare. Massachusetts! That is how unpopular this law is. Even now, after the Supreme Court upheld the law on the thinnest of legal reeds, 50 percent of the public supports repeal vs. 41 percent who do not, according to the Real Clear Politics average of latest polling data.

A Quinnipiac University Poll out the day after the House vote found that 48 percent of independents want the law repealed vs. 41 percent who do not.

Meanwhile, Democrats are hawking bumper stickers that say “It’s constitutional. Get over it.” What a way to bring the country together.

Democrats accuse Republicans who oppose Obamacare of not wanting to broaden health insurance coverage. Actually, Bass and Guinta oppose the draconian way in which the law does so. Our government does not have to trample on our individual rights to improve the health care and health insurance markets in this country. Kudos to Bass and Guinta for recognizing that and for repeatedly pressing the Senate to take up the cause of personal freedom.
