FARMINGTON — Police arrested three individuals Monday on felony charges in connection with two burglaries in town last fall.

Timothy R. Balch, 23, a transient, was charged with two counts of burglary, while Matthew York, 25, who previously lived along High Street, was charged with burglary and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon and Kelly Adams, 23, whose last known address was also along High Street, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and criminal liability for the conduct of another.

Following an investigation, police believe Balch was allegedly involved with burglaries on Elm Street in October and another along Aiken Road in November while York and Adams allegedly participated in the burglary on Aiken Road.

Officers continue to investigate whether any of the individuals are connected to another burglaries.

While police have not released a complete list of items taken from the homes, investigators determined an undisclosed amount of weapons were taken from the Aiken Road residence. As York was previously convicted of a felony at the time of the burglary, he was charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon.

The burglaries, the conspiracy charge and criminal liability for the conduct of another for are each class A felonies, which could each yield up to 7½ to 15 years in prison. Following their July 9 arraignments in Rochester District Court, Balch remains in jail on unrelated charges while York and Adams have been released on bail.
