Youngsters walking along Stratham road hit by car, injured
STRATHAM — Two youngsters walking in a group of four pedestrians at 18 Winnicutt Road Sunday night were hit by a car driven by a 78-year-old male.
Stratham Police Chief John Scippa said one youth received minor injuries and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. The other was struck “almost full on” and was taken to Exeter Hospital.
The driver of the car, who was not identified, did not suffer any injuries. Alcohol did not appear to be a factor, the chief said.
Scippa said the driver stopped after the accident and cooperated fully with police at the scene. The accident is under investigation.
