Three who were at invaded Windham home facing drug charges
WINDHAM — Three men who were at the site of a reported home invasion last week now face unrelated charges, but their assailants remain at large.
Drimel Reyes, 28, of 59 Bear Hill Road, was charged with manufacture of controlled drugs and possession of controlled drugs, according to police logs.
Two Florida residents who were staying at the home also were charged.
Cesar A. Tavarez, 28, of Stone Glen Drive in Orlando, Fla., and Leonides Fernandez, 59, of NW 44 Ave., in Miami were each charged with criminal liability for conduct of another.
Windham police were called to the Bear Hill Road address July 18 after a woman and her child entered a Lowell Road yard asking for help. The woman reportedly told officers that armed men were assaulting her boyfriend in their home, according to police.
The suspects fled before police arrived, and the couple said they did not know them, police said.
No one was injured in the attack. Police said the house was deliberately targeted.
The DEA was called into the investigation after police allegedly found paraphernalia and other evidence in the basement that could have been used to package and resell marijuana.
The home’s occupants were charged based on that evidence, police said.
The assailants have not been identified.
Windham police released alerts down the East Coast for three to four Hispanic males driving a silver Chrysler 300 sedan with Florida license plates.
