No one hurt in knife attack
CONCORD — Police arrested a 35-year-old city man for attempted murder after a knife attack Saturday afternoon, but no one was hurt in the incident.
Police say David Best slashed at the male victim with a knife, and they say a young child was present during the attempted assault, which happened around 1:30 p.m.
Best was taken into custody at a local business, according to a press release.
In addition to attempted murder, Best faces charges of attempted aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
He refused bail and will be arraigned Monday in district court, according to police.
