Ryan Goins and John Tolisano lined run-scoring triples and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats won the third game of a four-game series with the Altoona Curve, 5-1, Saturday night in Pennsylvania.

New Hampshire dropped the first two games of the Eastern League series, 1-0 and 8-1, Friday.

Goins' three-bagger in the fourth inning, his only hit of the game, plated Sean Ochinko and gave the Fisher Cats a 3-0 lead.

In the sixth, Tolisano cracked a drive to center that allowed Brad Glenn to score from first and left Tolisano on third, waiting to cross on Ochinko's subsequent single.

New Hampshire tallied its first two runs of the game in the second after sending seven batters to the plate. The key blow of the frame was a no-out two-run double by Glenn. The Fisher Cats added two more hits in the inning and stole two bases, but did not score again.

The Fisher Cats pounded out 12 hits in the fray, including two each by Van Kirk, Glenn, Tolisano, Ochinko and Bocock — the 5-through-9 batters in the lineup.

Starting pitcher Deck McGuire worked seven innings en route to the win. He surrendered four hits while walking three and striking out three, improving his record to 5-11.

Matt Daly worked the eighth inning for the Fisher Cats, giving up just one hit and fanning two. Trystan Magnuson came on in the ninth and surrendered Altoona's lone run on an RBI double to Quincy Latimore.

Adalberto Santos had three in the game, including a triple for the Curve.

Altoona's Kyle McPherson (3-5) was tagged with the loss.

The victory left the Eastern Division's cellar-dwelling Fisher Cats with a record of 42-66, 21 games behind the front-running Trenton Thunder (62-44), who swept the Harrisburg Senators Saturday, 4-3 and 5-1.

The series concludes tonight at 6 p.m.
