KUA graduate runs in 1,500 semi-finals today

Overcoming a recent foot injury, second-time Olympian Andrew Wheating on Friday reached the semifinals of an Olympic event for the first time. A Norwich, Vt., resident who graduated from Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, N.H., he will compete in the semifinals of the 1,500 meters today.

Wheating, 24, whose main sport at Kimball Union was soccer, competed in the 800 meters during the 2008 Games at Beijing but did not reach the semifinals.
