Plymouth -- The town's Rotary Scholarship Fund and the Bridge House shelter were the beneficiaries of the last month's seventh annual Community Fun Fair.
The two organizations joined forces to offer the community street fair, which took advantage of the community's Riverside Park on Green Street, along the Pemigewasset River.
Cathy Bentwood, an organizer, said the Fun Fair success relies on community sponsorship and provides the Bridge House with funding to continue vital work on a daily basis.
This year, Bridge House helped 176 people reach goals such as acquiring apartments, creating budgets, attending parenting classes, attending 12-step programs, job training, job acquisition, family reunification, and earning a high school diploma.
