CONCORD — Paul Moore of Bedford, the 2011 New Hampshire Union Leader and Sunday News Citizen of the Year, will be one of six people nominated by Gov. John Lynch to serve as a circuit court judge, the governor’s office announced Tuesday.

Moore will be nominated along with Mark Weaver of Greenland, Lawrence MacLeod of Lebanon, marital master Jennifer Lemire of Stratham and Julie Introcaso of Manchester. Lynch also nominated Susan Carbon of Chichester as a part-time circuit court judge.

Lynch will officially nominate the group at Wednesday’s Governor and Council meeting in Manchester, according to a release from the governor’s office. The Executive Council must confirm the nominations.

Moore has served as a special justice in what is now the 9th Circuit Court in Milford since 2002 and has served as a justice in the Family Division in Derry, now the 10th Circuit Court, since 2008, the release said.

Moore operated a private practice focused on family law prior to 2008, when he began devoting more time to the courts. He has been active in his community, co-founding MooreMart, a non-profit volunteer organization devoted to providing supplies and care packages to members of the military overseas.

Moore could not be reached Tuesday night for comment.

According to the governor’s release, Moore received his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 1988. He received his bachelor’s of science from Saint Anselm College in 1980.
