Charter Trust gives trio promotions

Diane Guimond, Lynne Ford and Kim Franklin were all recently promoted by Charter Trust. Franklin is the new vice president–wealth adviser in the Peterborough office of Charter Trust. She successfully completed the courses of study for the American Bankers Association Trust Administration levels I, II & III with emphasis in taxation and estate planning, trust administration and investment management.

Guimond and Ford were promoted to wealth adviser positions in the Rochester and Hanover branches, respectively.

Bisbee elected chair of leadership trustees

MANCHESTER — Dana Bisbee has been elected the chair of the Leadership New Hampshire Board of Trustees. A graduate of Leadership New Hampshire class of 2004, Bisbee is an environmental and land-use attorney.

He has held significant governmental positions within the state, including assistant commissioner of the Department of Environmental Services from 1995 until 2003 and DES acting commissioner in 2002-2003. He served in the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office for 14 years, including the last five as deputy attorney general.

Jackson Lewis makes Van Oot a partner

PORTSMOUTH — Jackson Lewis LLP announced Martha Van Oot has joined the firm’s Portsmouth office as a partner. Van Oot brings 30-plus years of experience as a trial attorney, with an emphasis on complex commercial and employment litigation.

Van Oot comes to Jackson Lewis from New Hampshire law firm Orr and Reno, where she held the position of shareholder since 2001. She is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the New Hampshire Supreme Court’s Board of Bar Examiners.

McLane attorney gets bar chairmanship

McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association announced that Richard Stone has been appointed chair of the Taxation Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He has been active in the Massachusetts Bar Association for several years, primarily in its taxation section.
