LONDONDERRY —Prosecutors will not file charges in a dispute last week between a Southwest Airlines pilot and a Transportation Security Administration supervisor at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

Investigators reviewed security video footage and the written statements taken at the scene on Friday morning and submitted the material to the Londonderry Police Department's prosecution division, which declined to pursue charges.

Pilot John Mcghie accused Bob Harbaugh of assault after Harbaugh reached out and touched Mcghie on the arm while the two men argued at a security checkpoint.

Mcghie was upset by something during the screening process and demanded to speak to a supervisor. When Harbaugh arrived, Mcghie felt he was “condescending and patronizing” and demanded Harbaugh to give his name. Harbaugh declined and the argument grew more heated.

Harbaugh acknowledged touching Mcghie's arm, but that was the only physical contact before police arrived at the scene.

Mcghie said he wanted to press charges, but after investigating and reviewing the video, police concluded that Harbaugh's touch did not amount to assault.

The TSA also reviewed the video and Robert Krekorian, TSA security director for New Hampshire, released a statement in support of the security agents.

“The findings demonstrate that our employees acted professionally and followed proper screening protocols in their engagement with Captain Mcghie,” Krekorian said.
