Milford woman reported missing
MILFORD—Police have confirmed that the body found near the playground behind Jacques Memorial Elementary School last Friday is Lorinda White, a woman reported missing on August 5th. Few other details including the cause of death will be released until the medical examiner's report has been completed.
Capt. Chris Nervik of the Milford Police Department said on Thursday that the medical examiner was able to positively identify White, bringing closure to almost a week of fear and speculation for her family that the body discovered five days after White disappeared was her.
What hasn't yet been answered is how White died, or whether or not there was foul play involved. Nervik said those questions won't be answered until the investigation can be completed. He did say, however, that there doesn't appear to be any “cause for concern or danger for the general public.”
