HAMPSTEAD — A Sandown man remained in critical condition Sunday and his female passenger was in serious condition in a Boston hospital following a crash in Hampstead on Saturday morning.

A spokeswoman for Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston said that David Augusta III of Sandown was listed late Sunday in critical condition, after the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee he was driving collided with a 2002 Chrysler minivan driven by Susan Leblanc of Plaistow near the intersection of Route 111 and Hazel Drive in Hampstead at 6:13 a.m. Saturday.

Both Augusta and Leblanc were transported to Parkland Medical Center in Derry before being airlifted to Mass General. Leblanc was listed Sunday night in serious condition.

Passengers in Leblanc's vehicle were treated for minor injuries.
