Attempted robbery at Portsmouth pharmacy ends in arrest
PORTSMOUTH - A local man has been charged with attempted robbery after allegedly fighting with a CVS store clerk while attempting to leave the store with stolen merchandise on Thursday night.
Terrance Regan, 20, of 226 Union St., was taken into custody and charged with one felony count of attempted robbery.
Police were called to the CVS store on Islington Street around 9:07 p.m. for a report of shoplifting. On scene, officers learned Regan had fought with the store clerk while attempting to leave the store.
Regan was found close to the scene and taken into custody.
He is being held on $2,500 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Portsmouth Circuit Court today for arraignment.
