The University of New Hampshire's 38-17 season-opening win against Holy Cross didn't impress the pollsters over the weekend.

The Wildcats remained as the No. 14-ranked team in this week's Sports Network FCS Top 25 College Football Poll and stayed at No. 12 in the FCS Coaches Weekly Poll.

In the Sports Network poll, nothing changed among the leaders as Sam Houston State remained the top team followed by North Dakota State, Georgia Southern, Montana State and James Madison.

Youngstown State moved up seven spots to No. 6 after its 31-17 road win against Pittsburgh.

The Old Dominion Monarchs, seeded at No. 7, are the highest-ranked team from the Colonial Athletic Association, followed by Towson at No. 13, UNH at No. 14 and Delaware at No. 15.

Northern Iowa, which lost to Wisconsin 26-21, moved up one spot to No. 8.

Honors

UNH: Quarterback Sean Goldrich was named the CAA Rookie of the Week. Making his collegiate debut, he completed 21 of 31 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns against Holy Cross.

Plymouth State: Parker Spear and freshman Petro Masumbuko of Manchester were named Little East Conference men's soccer offensive player and rookie of the week. Sara Burke was selected as the women's tennis player of the week and freshman Leah Kenison-Marvin of Center Tuftonboro was named field hockey rookie of the week.

Keene State: In cross-country, Ryan Brady of Durham and Kait Wheeler of Exeter were named LEC men's and women's rookie runners of the week, respectively.

Men's soccer

NHTI 2, Albany College of Pharmacy 0: In the championship game of the NHTI Labor Day Tournament, Trevor Carignan of Derry and Nurame Abdulkador of Concord scored the goals for the Lynx. Jimmy Wesseh of Concord and Dylan Bisceglia of New Boston both added assists. Christian Bashios of Concord had six saves and was named MVP of the tourney.

Women's soccer

Franklin Pierce 2, SNHU 1 (OT): In Manchester, Hannah Weagle tapped home a pass from Caroline Savasta in the 100th minute to lead the Ravens past the Penmen. The Ravens took a 1-0 lead 2:37 into the contest when Aya Noguchi rammed home a rebound off a shot attempt by Weagle.

In the eighth minute, the Penmen tied the game on a header by Alyssa Balboni off a corner kick. Kaleigh Roberge gained the assist on the play. SNHU netminder Maggie Weldon had six saves as the Penmen fell to 1-1. Casey Edward stopped four shots as the Ravens improved to 2-0 on the season.

NHTI 3, Springfield Tech. CC 1: In the Springfield Technical Community College Labor Day Tournamen, leading the way for the Lynx was Megan Provencher of Merrimack with a goal. Erica Bellefleur had a goal and Jill Rogers of Fremont added two assists. Carissa Pelletier made four saves on five shots.

Women's tennis

Colby-Sawyer 5-5, Nichols 4/Clark 0: In New London, the Chargers earned a doubleheader sweep. The No. 2 team of sophomore Donna Gordon and freshman Ashlyn Ramsay led the team to a doubles win against Nichols in the daytime match. In the nightcap, the No. 1 team of senior Claire Toffey and junior Liz Lincoln led the Chargers past Clark.
