CONCORD – Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Thursday afternoon he wants President Obama to report on the state of his promises from the last campaign in his acceptance speech tonight.

Dressed in an oxford shirt and blue jeans, Romney was in Concord to meet with about 30 veterans in a bus outside the State House after the veterans held a press conference expressing their support for Romney.

“In all fairness I'd like the President to give a report on his promises,” Romney said when he stepped outside the bus. “There are a lot of forgotten promises. There are a lot of forgotten people.”

He charged that Obama has forgotten many of the promises he made four years ago, including cutting the deficit and not balancing the budget on the backs of veterans.

“This is not the time for new promises. This is not a reset,” he said.

Romney said he is not planning on watching the President's acceptance speech tonight and added he has not watched any of the Democratic National Convention this week.

Romney made the 70-mile trip from Vermont — where he is practicing for the upcoming Presidential debates — to meet with the veterans that he said are making phone calls to other veterans in the state urging them to support his campaign for President.
