Wakefield’s Union Village to host annual Fall Festival
WAKEFIELD — The Union Village Community Association will host its annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 15, from noon to 5 p.m.
The festival will be held in Heritage Park in Union.
UVCA Director Dick House said highlights of this year’s festival include live entertainment.
“We’re excited to have the duo, ‘Nice and Naughty,’ return to our state,” House said.
The duo includes Cheryl Sager and Peg Chaffee who play original music with themes ranging from whimsical to poignant.
Activities include cake walks (musical chairs with cake for a prize), an antique car show and local vendors with food and crafts. There will be games and a 50/50 raffle to benefit the UVCA. Donations will be accepted at the gate. One end of Maple Street will be blocked off, allowing the Heritage Park space to extend across the street to the Greater Wakefield Resource Center. Parking for the festival will be at the restored Union Train Station and Freight House, which will also be open for a portion of the day.
For more information or to rent a table, call House at 473-8398 or Ruth Hall at 473-2222. The rain date is Sept. 22, same time and place.
