Peyton Kent’s goal with 15 minutes left lifted undefeated Souhegan past visiting Portsmouth, 1-0, in girls’’ soccer on Monday. The Sabers improved to 5-0. Portsmouth is 2-2-1.

Souhegan goalie Mikaela Sullivan made 11 saves for her fourth shutout.

Sunapee 3, Moultonborough 0: No one has been able to solve Sunapee’s defense, not even previously undefeated Moultonborough Academy.

Meg Clarenbach scored twice and Taylor Usko added a goal as Sunapee posted its third straight shutout win with a decision against the visiting Panthers in a Division IV girls’ soccer contest.

“This was by far our best game of the season,” said Lakers’ head coach Myles Cooney. “We had solid midfield play from Rose Webb, Abby Armstrong, and Rylee Weinstein. The defense held strong when tested and I wish we had finished better, but I can’t complain. The kids were working hard. It was a solid win.”

Usko’s goal was assisted by Bridget Sherwin as the Lakers peppered 21 shots on net. Keepers Portia Eastman and Erika Waterman combined for six saves on the night for 3-0 Sunapee. The Panthers are 3-1.
