UNH police charge Dover man with weekend assault
DURHAM - A Dover man was arrested Friday morning in connection with a fight at the Gables apartment complex on campus early Sunday morning.
Evan M. Towle, 20, of 32 6th St., Dover, is charged with second-degree assault, according to UNH police, and was released on $25,000 personal recognizance bond. He is scheduled to appear in 7th Circuit Court District Division - Dover on Oct. 25.
Towle is not a UNH student, police said, and more arrests are expected as the investigation continues. The 19-year-old victim of Sunday's assault was treated at an area hospital and released.
UNH safety officials remind students and staff to call 911 immediately if they see suspicious behavior on campus or report crimes anonymously using the CrimePush mobile app, which can be downloaded at www.unh.edu/upd.
