Gahara, Sartwell propel Pembroke boys’ booters

Better late than never.

Tyler Gahara’s goal in the 77th minute followed by Austin Sartwell’s insurance marker two minutes later lifted Pembroke Academy to a 2-0 Division II boys’ soccer win against host Milford Monday. Gahara assisted on the Sartwell goal as Pembroke improved to 4-2. Milford fell to 1-5-1. Alex Trujillo earned the shutout in nets with six saves.

Campbell 5, Somersworth 0: In Somersworth, Campbell of Litchfield goalie Jacob Morgan notched his third season shutout. Ben Billings and Fredrik Ostvold scored in the first half. Ian Hutchinson, John Paul Galvez and Nick Perault scored in the second half. Morgan had five saves for the 3-4 Cougars, while Brody Lajoie made nine saves for the 1-6 Hilltoppers.

Lebanon 1, Stevens 0: In Claremont, Jacob Armstrong’s unassisted goal at 58:30 stood up, thanks in part to goalie Will Sanborn with one save. Stevens netminder Trey Dansereau turned back 12 shots. Lebanon is 6-1 and Stevens fell to 3-5.
