MILFORD — Three people face criminal charges after allegedly stealing a purse from a locked car and using a credit card from the purse to go on a shopping spree from Amherst to Nashua.

Angela Lunderville, 21, of 11 Newman St. in Hillsborough, and Joshua Haney, 31, of 416 Gulf Road, Greenville, were arrested last week and charged with several counts including theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, fraudulent use of a credit card, criminal liability for the conduct of another, and contempt or breach of bail conditions.

A third person, Matthew Williams, 24, of 504 Nashua St. in Milford was also arrested in connection with the theft and faces the same charges as Lunderville and Haney, as well as additional charges stemming from other incidents including forgery and burglary.

According to documents on file with the Milford Circuit Court, Lunderville, Haney and Williams broke into a locked car parked at Hampshire Hills Athletic Club in Milford between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and stole a Coach purse out of the vehicle.

During the investigation, police discovered that the victim’s card had been used three times, including purchases at Walmart in Amherst, Walgreens in Nashua and the Shell gas station on Clinton Street in Nashua. The purchases, allegedly made by Lunderville, included gasoline, a Visa gift card and pre-paid cell phone card.

Through interviews with clerks and examination of surveillance videos, detectives were able to identify a maroon Jeep Cherokee, and the three suspects, according to court documents.

Williams, who was arrested twice in the same week — on Sept. 8 for the theft from the automobile, and again on Sept. 11 for burglary — is being held on $25,000 cash bail. Lunderville and Haney were arrested on Sept. 11 and will be arraigned Nov. 7.

Lunderville is being held on $10,000 cash or corporate surety, and Haney is being held on $15,000 cash or corporate surety.
