Fremont history to tour part of town festival
FREMONT — The town’s 250th anniversary committee and historical society will host a “Celebrate Fremont Festival” Saturday at Ellis School.
The festival, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., features 50 craft and food vendors, pony rides, music, demonstrations and exhibits.
The public can also enjoy free tours of the Fremont Historical Museum and the 1800 Fremont Meetinghouse — the only meetinghouse in New Hampshire with twin porches and one of only two in the country, said Matthew Thomas, town historian. There is no admission charge. The school is at 432 Main St. For more information, call Thomas at 895-4032.
