Laconia teen charged in cemetery vandalism
LACONIA — A city teen is facing a felony charge in connection with the extensive damage done to grave markers at Union Cemetery last July.
Jagger Richer, 17, of 227 Eastman Shore Road, is charged with interference with cemetery/burial grounds (vandalism), a class B felony.
Police believe others were involved with Richer in knocking over the gravestones overnight July 12. Twenty tombstones were knocked over and some broke in two. Damage was estimated at $20,000.
Investigators said Richer was identified as being one of the vandals from evidence they gathered.
