WINDHAM — A local salon owner is taking her talents on the road to help promote “The Mindy Project,” a new television series on Fox.
Soleil Salon & Spa owner Luisa Garcia will be blow drying hair on the Mindy's Mobile Makeover van in New York City on Monday and in Boston on Tuesday.
“It's an opportunity, and it's a blessing at the same time,” Garcia said.
Two nail technicians will join Garcia in offering “Mindy Cures” to passers-by. On Monday, the van will park in front of Fox News headquarters where Garcia will make an appearance on the Morning Show. Tuesday's stop includes an appearance on the Boston Morning Show at 8:30 a.m.
Garcia plans to keep her Facebook page updated throughout the tour so her clients can experience every moment with her.
Salon employees planned to visit Garcia during her stop in Boston.
Garcia opened Soleil Salon & Spa at its new location in Castle Commons in April. She was on the lookout for new business promotions when a former client called her with the opportunity.
“I'm very thankful,” Garcia said. “It was exactly what we needed.”
“The Mindy Project,” which stars Mindy Kaling as a single doctor, premieres Tuesday.
