Gagne wins 7th Javelin National Title at US Master Track & Field Championships
Buzz Gagne of Penacook celebrated his 65th birthday by winning his seventh national title in the javelin during the U.S. Master Track & Field Championships in Lisle, Ill.
The accomplishment earned him the honor of being named August athlete of the month by USA Track & Field-New England. The announcement was made Saturday.
Gagne, who competes for the Twilight Throwers, won his most recent title in the 65-plus division, a week after he turned 65. He previously won the New England Masters M60 in July.
