Former Fugitive of the Week caught with ex-police in Mass.
Luis Figueroa, a New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week in June, was arrested Monday by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Lawrence, Mass.
Figueroa was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violations stemming from an original conviction for drug sales, as well as a Salem, N.H., police warrant alleging he endangered the welfare of a child, reckless conduct, and disobeyed a police officer and put another in danger.
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force said in a news release that the task force learned Figueroa was likely in the company of Rafael Beamud, a former police officer who lives in Lawrence. The former officer was interviewed multiple times about the whereabouts of Figueroa and denied having any knowledge of his location. Through surveillance and interviews, it was confirmed that Figueroa was living with Beamud.
Figueroa was arrested on the outstanding parole violation and was transported to the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord.
