A Lincoln teenager critically injured when his car drifted off Interstate-93 in Woodstock earlier this month died Tuesday, State Police reported Wednesday.

Anthony Ford, 19, died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center from injuries suffered in the Sept. 12 collision.

Police suspect Ford fell asleep while driving. Cause of the collision is considered to be driver fatigue, police said.

Ford was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus north on I-93 when the car drifted off the road just north of Exit 31, hit an embankment and landed upside down about 100 feet away shortly after 5 p.m.

Ford and his two passengers were trapped inside the car. Witnesses freed front seat passenger, Paulicia Baker. Firefighters extricated Ford and rear passenger, Batu Nasoz.

Ford was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanor where he had been in the internsive care unit with severe internal and head injuries.

Baker was released from the hospital. Nasoz, remains at DHMC and is expected to survive his injuries, state police said.
