Manchester Walgreens robbed
MANCHESTER - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed Walgreens on South Main Street Walgreens Thursday night.
According to a news release, a man entered the 227 South Main St. store through the main door just after 8 p.m. and walked directly to the pharmacy counter.
He put a bag on the pharmacy counter and then handed an employee a note which said he had a gun and demanded drugs. No weapon was shown.
Ther clerk gave the man the drugs and he fled with them. A witness saw him get into a green Pontiac Grand Am with a 20-day temporary plate on it.
The robber is described as a white man, 45 to 55 years old, with gray thinning hair, and a very heavy build. He was wearing jean shorts, a blue hooded sweatshirt and carrying a red backpack.
Police released photographs of the robber taken from the store's video surveillance.
