Man rescued on Mount Washington
MOUNT WASHINGTON — New Hampshire Fish and Game officers rescued a Canadian man who was injured Tuesday while hiking on Mount Washington, according to a release.
Yves Brault, 60, of Laval, Quebec, Canada, had hiked to Lake in the Clouds and was descending the mountain about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when he injured his left leg when he slipped on a ledge. Conservation officers carried him back to the mountain’s summit, then driven to the mountain’s base, where an ambulance took him to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin for treatment.
