Soccer Roundup: West boys' soccer trounces Milford

Thiago Carvalho scored twice in the first 10 minutes, and the Manchester West boys' soccer team manhandled Milford, 8-1, at West Memorial Field on Friday afternoon.
Ryan Askham finished with three goals to lead the Blue Knights (4-7), who didn't allow a Milford goal until Connor Gosselin's tally in the 79th minute. Promise Kpee had a pair of goals, and Luan Sanches had one. Milford dropped to 1-10-1.
Lebanon 1, Pembroke 0: At Lebanon, Alex Trujillo kept the Spartans in the game with eight saves, but he let one through 75 minutes in off the boot of Lebanon's Martin Gradijan. Will Sanborn made six saves for the Red Raiders (9-1-2). Pembroke is 7-4.
Manchester Central 1, Bishop Guertin 0: At Manchester, Selim Salihovic scored 12 minutes into the second half as the Little Green (9-3-1) shook off a defensive-minded effort by the Cardinals (3-5-1) at Gill Stadium. Dave Swallow had nine saves in goal for Nashua's Guertin, while Central's Noah Edmunds stopped two shots for the shutout.
Dover 2, Nashua South 1: At Nashua, Hugh Phillis hit the equalizer 60 minutes in, but Dover's Aaron Esparza nailed the game-winner nine minutes later to give Dover its second win. Will Lapign also scored for the Green Wave (2-7-3). Alex Lowe stopped 19 for South (0-12).
Goffstown 3, Coe-Brown 0: Playmaker Mike Simons assisted Liam Moloney on the first goal, and then scored later in the second half to spark the Grizzlies. Riley Ellis made it 3-0 with the lone goal of the second half. Goffstown (6-6) notched the shutout as Henry Seidel made five saves.
Hanover 5, Manchester Memorial 1: At Manchester, the Marauders (9-2) won for the sixth time in seven matches as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead against the Crusaders (2-9). Olva Timmorry scored Memorial's lone goal 15 minutes into the second half.
Derryfield 2, Newmarket 0: At Newmarket, Austin Hammer hit the game-winner four minutes in then assisted on Everett Simon's goal at 60 minutes. Lucas McCabe made seven saves in the shutout for Derryfield of Manchester (11-1), while Cameron Stevens stopped 12 for
Newmarket (8-3).
Exeter 2, Timberlane 1: At Exeter, second-half goals by Sam Young and Alex Peck carried the Blue Hawks (9-4) past the Owls (7-3-3). Matthew Plante had given Timberlane a 1-0 lead off an assist from Tyler Donovan.
Souhegan 1, St. Thomas 1: At Amherst, Sam Leedy converted a pass from Reed Larson with 11 minutes left to lift the Sabers (5-4-3) into a tie with the Saints (5-4-2). John Nartiff had given St. Thomas a 1-0 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half.

Pinkerton 2, Nashua North 0: At Derry, Rebecca McGrath and Keara Doolan helped each other out for a pair of goals, McGrath's to take the lead midway through the first half and Doolan's for some insurance in the second. Emily Harris picked up the shutout with 13 saves for
Pinkerton (9-2-1). North is 6-5.

Simmons tied the score late in the first half, set up Kayleen Walberg for the go-ahead marker 12 minutes in the second half and notched her second goal of the game for some insurance with eight minutes left.
Goffstown 3, Alvirne 0: At Hudson, junior scoring machine Michele Tremblay notched her 24th and 25th goals of the season in the first half for Goffstown (9-1). Kelsey Benson made it 3-0 with a goal at the end of the first half, and Goffstown netminder Leandra Nault had four saves in the shutout. Tori LaRoche made nine saves for Alvirne (2-9-1).
Bow 2, Hopkinton 0: At Hopkinton, the undefeated and defending Division III champion Falcons (11-0-1) scored twice in the first half to turn back the Hawks (7-5).
Field hockey
Derryfield 2, Hopkinton 0: At Hopkinton, the Cougars reeled off their seventh consecutive victory, led by Berklee Vaillancourt's two goals. Atlee Coler assisted on the first one, while the second was a solo effort. Lulu Carter earned the shutout with one save for Derryfield of Manchester (11-1), while Maddy Bergathon stopped five for Hopkinton (9-4).
Pinkerton 2, Bishop Guertin 0: At Derry, Jessica Cote and Kaylie DeCosmo each scored in the first half, and host Pinkerton shut the door on Bishop Guertin of Nashua with excellent defense. Jordan Dudley made two saves in the shutout as Pinkerton improved to 10-1-2 in Division I. BG dropped to 5-7.
