Canaan, NH woman faces charges in theft from Vermont prison
A Canaan, N.H., woman is facing charges she stole bail money while working at the Chittendon Regional Correctional facility.
Tina Howard, 41, allegedly put money received at the prison for bail into her personal checking accounts while working as the jail's business manager, according to the Associated Press. Howard reportedly repaid the money when confronted, according to the AP. Vermont State Police investigators are handling the case.
