ROCHESTER – Police hope the public can help identify a man who remains hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a car along Milton Road Friday night.

Police, firefighters and emergency personnel responded at 7:41 p.m. after a southbound 2001 Volkswagen Passat, driven by Darlene Moore, 48, of Farmington, struck the man who was walking along Route 125 near the on-ramp to the Route 16 connector.

The unidentified man, who remains at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, is white and in his 40s to 50s. At the time of the accident, he was wearing blue jeans and a dark zip up jacket.

Local paramedics transported the man to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, but because of his serious injuries, he was airlifted later that night by a Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART) helicopter to the Lebanon hospital.

Moore was not injured in the incident and her Passat sustained minor damage.
Members of the Strafford County Accident Reconstruction Team responded and is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
