Eliot Health System confirms health worker investigation
MANCHESTER — Elliot Health System confirmed Thursday that it has initiated a “confidential review process” into a health care worker at the organization.
The hospital released a brief statement after a reporter asked about the matter.
The statement, released by hospital spokesman Susanna Whitcher, said the hospital launches a review whenever a question arises about the conduct, performance or competence of a provider.
The review complies with federal and state law, the hospital said.
“This process has recently been initiated, however, no conclusions have been reached,” the statement reads.
The matter does not involve a risk to public health, the hospital said. The statement said Elliot was withholding further details out of respect for the integrity of the process and the people involved.
