Luther, Sanborn: For economic growth
Sen. Jim Luther, R-Hollis, has become something of a go-to guy on business issues in a Senate filled with small business owners. As the Legislature continues focusing on jobs and other economic issues next year, his experience and expertise will be very much needed.
The District 12 senator is a business and finance expert, and in the Senate a lot of his time (though not all of it, by any means) was dedicated to improving New Hampshire’s business climate. It is one of the reasons he was endorsed by both the National Federation of Independent Businesses and the Business and Industry Association. His work on streamlining business taxes and regulations was important, and he promises to continue improving the state’s business climate in the next two years.
Luther also has passions for education and pension reform, open government and environmental protection. New Hampshire would benefit from his continued service, and the voters of District 12 should happily return him to Concord.
In the newly drawn District 9, Andy Sanborn also brings extensive business experience that has proven valuable in the last session. The former senator fron District 7, Sanborn has a record of supporting policies to spur economic growth, keep taxes and regulations limited, make New Hampshire more economically competitive, and keep state bureaucracies from exerting too much control. Sanborn can be counted on to support pro-growth policies, which are even more important in bad times. He should get the nod in November.
