Men's Soccer: SNHU blanks UMass Lowell
The Southern New Hampshire University men’s soccer team moved into second place in the Northeast-10 standings with a 3-0 win over UMass Lowell in front of 1,033 fans at Larkin Field in Manchester on Wednesday night.
Fifteen minutes into the second half, Miguel Carneiro broke a scoreless game with his third goal of the season, and Jordan Branco and Chris Pereira added goals for SNHU.
The 15th-ranked Penmen improved to 12-2 overall and 8-2 in the NE-10, while the No. 3 River Hawks suffered their first conference loss and fell to 11-2-1 overall and 10-1 in NE-10 action.
Goalie Dom DiMaggio made one save to pick up his second straight shutout and seventh of the season for SNHU.
