Police: House cleaner tried to pawn Rolex watches belonging to client
SALEM — A Northwood woman is under arrest, accused of trying to pawn two gold Rolex watches stolen from a client of her mother’s cleaning business.
Angela Schwartz, 27, of Northwood, is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.
Officers went to Cash for Gold Tuesday afternoon after a woman tried to pawn two gold Rolex watches, worth $8,639, she claimed were bequeathed to her by her grandfather.
Police determined the watches were stolen from a client of a cleaning business Schwartz works for and which is owned by her mother, according to a news release.
Schwartz was arrested without incident and taken to the Salem police station for processing. She refused bail and was later transported to the Rockingham County jail pending arraignment in 10th Circuit Court, Salem District Division.
