AG says nurse may have used insulin to kill brother-in-law

The New Hampshire Board of Nursing temporarily suspended the license of registered nurse, Catherine George, of Derry, state Attorney General Michael A. Delaney said Wednesday.

The emergency suspension went into effect Tuesday in response to questions related to the Oct. 9 death of George’s brother-in-law, Randal Percival, of Raymond.

George told Derry police on Oct. 14 she killed Percival, according to Delaney’s statement. George reportedly told police she gave her brother-in-law 300 units of insulin which she said she brought home from her work.

The Board of Nursing scheduled a hearing on Nov. 2 to determine if the suspension of George’s license should continue pending completion of the Board’s investigation. A criminal investigation by the New Hampshire State Police Major Crimes Unit and Raymond police is ongoing.
