Three hundred and fifty American pipits were seen at Morrill's Farm in Penacook on Oct. 20, and an American golden-plover, a pectoral sandpiper, and a Lapland longspur were seen there on the 21st.

Two red crossbills were reported from the Merrimack River Conservation Area in Concord on Oct. 24.

Three white-winged scoters were seen at Canobie Lake in Salem on Oct. 20.

A horned grebe was seen on Lake Massabesic in Auburn on Oct. 17.

A rusty blackbird and a vesper sparrow were seen at the fields located behind the Concord Post Office on Loudon Road on Oct. 21.

A peregrine falcon was seen in Litchfield on Oct. 19.

Raptor migration is under way with more than 11,800 (including a Swainson's hawk on Sept. 10, and four golden eagles since Oct. 15) already reported from the Pack Monadnock raptor migration observatory in Peterborough, and 6,635 raptors (including a black vulture Sept. 21, a golden eagle Oct. 6, and a golden eagle Oct. 16) reported from the Carter Hill Observatory in Concord, all since Aug. 25. Be sure to visit these observatories this fall season to help out with the count
