East Rochester woman leads police on chase, crashes car in Madbury
MADBURY — An East Rochester woman who allegedly led local and state police on a high-speed car chase before crashing her car late Friday was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
State police said Stephanie McDonald, 23, was involved in a chase with Somersworth police before state police saw her driving "at a high rate of speed" on Indian Brook Road in Dover about 10:30 p.m. Friday. She led state police on a chase that ended when her car crashed and rolled over on Route 9 in the town of Madbury, police said.
McDonald and two male passengers, whose names police did not release, were taken to Wentworth-Douglas Hospital in Dover for treatment of what police said were not life-threatening injuries.
