Granite State Debates set this week, will include questions from readers
This week, the Democratic and Republican nominees in New Hampshire’s most important races square off in their final televised debates. Don’t just watch, send us your questions.
Just days before the Nov. 6 election, WMUR and this newspaper resume their traditional partnership, the Granite State Debates.
These important hourlong debates begin at 7 p.m.
-- Monday: U.S. House, 1st District: Rep. Frank Guinta (R) v. Carol Shea-Porter (D).
-- Tuesday: U.S. House, 2nd District: Rep. Charlie Bass (R) v. Ann McLane Kuster (D).
-- Thursday, Nov. 1, governor: Ovide Lamontagne (R) v. Maggie Hassan (D).
Your suggested questions are welcome on any topic relevant to the state and this election. Please send them in written or video form to granitestatedebates@wmur.com.
Remember, the best questions are brief and tough, but fair.
New Hampshire Union Leader Business Editor Mike Cote will be a panelist in the congressional debates. Senior Political Reporter John DiStaso is part of the Lamontagne v. Hassan showdown, which will be the last of nine major political debates co-produced by the Union Leader this year.
