TV debates, voter guide are headed your way
Tonight's hour-long televised debate is between Republican Ovide Lamontagne and Democrat Maggie Hassan, both vying for governor. It is the first time in eight years that it is an open seat. The 7 p.m. debate, aired live from the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College, includes Union Leader senior political reporter John DiStaso as a questioner.
Friday night, back-to-back congressional debates will be aired, at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., on WMUR-TV, Channel 9. The first features 1st District U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta, the Republican, and the woman he ousted two years ago, Democrat Carol Shea-Porter. At 8 p.m., 2nd Distruct Rep. Charlie Bass, also a Republican, faces Democrat Ann Kuster.
