Bedford trick-or-treater finds pill in candy
BEDFORD - A child trick-or-treating on Technology Drive in Bedford came home with something unexpected - a pill contained within a Hersey's Kiss wrapper.
Bedford police received a report from a parent after the child returned home with the tainted candy.
The child did not eat the pill and immediately notified the parents, who notified police.
Bedford police reminded parents to be vigilant in checking children's candy and if the candy has been tampered with in any way to notify police.
The incident is under investigation by Bedford police, who ask that anyone with information contact them at 472-5113.
